Account and Data Deletion
Your FluidGrids account is a Burdenoff account: the same sign-in works across every Burdenoff product. Deactivating or deleting it therefore affects every product you use with it, not only FluidGrids.
You have two options, both under Auth › Security Settings, in the Danger Zone at the bottom of the page.
| Deactivate | Delete | |
|---|---|---|
| Can you undo it? | Yes, by reactivating | No |
| What happens to sign-in | You are signed out everywhere and cannot sign in until you reactivate | You are signed out everywhere and the account can never sign in again |
| What it asks for | Your password | Your password and the phrase DELETE MY ACCOUNT |
Before you delete
- Hand over what others depend on. If you own a workspace or organisation, make another member an owner first (Administration, Permissions).
- Export what you want to keep. Use Connected Systems › Export for workspace data (see Connected Systems), and Billing › Invoices for invoices.
- Cancel paid plans. Cancel subscriptions under Billing › Subscriptions so nothing renews.
- Retire your runners. Account deletion cannot reach your machines. See Self-hosted runners.
Deactivate your account
- Open Auth › Security Settings.
- In Danger Zone, choose Deactivate Account.
- Enter your password and confirm with Deactivate.
To come back, go to the sign-in page, choose Have a deactivated account?, and confirm your email and password. Your account and its data are restored.
Delete your account permanently
- Open Auth › Security Settings.
- In Danger Zone, choose Delete Account.
- In Delete Account Permanently, enter your password, type
DELETE MY ACCOUNT, and choose Delete Forever.
Deletion takes effect immediately:
- Every signed-in session and saved sign-in on every device is ended.
- Your multi-factor authentication settings are removed.
- Apps you registered, and their API keys, are deleted. Anything that used those keys (scripts, CI jobs, the CLI, MCP clients, webhook callers that authenticate with them) stops working.
- Your profile is anonymised: your name, username and picture are removed and you appear as Deleted User in history.
- FluidGrids and the other Burdenoff products are told about the deletion so they can erase data held against your account.
Your email address is kept on the deleted account record, and audit entries about what the account did stay in the audit log. The privacy policy describes how personal data is handled. A deleted account cannot be restored, even by support.
Signed up with single sign-on only? If your account has no password, the self-service buttons cannot confirm it is you. Contact support from your account's email address to deactivate or delete it.
What stays in shared workspaces
Work you created inside a workspace that other people use, such as workflows, their versions and runs, belongs to that workspace and stays there, attributed to Deleted User. To have workspace data removed, ask the workspace owner to delete it, or to delete the workspace.
Self-hosted runners
Account deletion does not uninstall a self-hosted runner from your machine. To remove one, run this on each machine and then Remove the runner under Runners:
fluidgrids-runner uninstall-service
See Runners.
Other data requests
To request a copy of your data, or erasure of data that the steps above do not cover, email [email protected] from your account's email address, or open a ticket under Support. See Support.
